25CrMo4 Chemical Composition
The Chemical Composition of 25CrMo4 contains a low level of carbon content of 0.22 - 0.29 %. The material has an Mn content of 0.6 - 0.9 % which imparts hardness to the material. The contents of P is reduced to 0.025% and S is reduced to 0.035 % max as excess content of P and S can damage the quality of steel and can cause the alloys steel to break at low stresses. There is a high Chromium content of 0.9-1.20 % which adds additional yield and tensile on heat treatment.
