SAE 8620 Chemical Composition
The AISI 8620 or SAE 8620 carbon content comes under low carbon content of 0.18-0.23%. ​The Manganese is from 0.70-0.90 % which imparts hardness to the material. The P and S are 0.035 and 0.040 % max because excess content of P and S can harm the material. Even Cr and Mo are added to 8620 grade which imparts hardness and corrosion resistance property to the material.
